Flextur Hosts Successful Open House and Facility Tour, Showcases New Innovations

DALTON, OH. - On August 15, 2024, Flextur, a leading manufacturer of welding products, hosted an open house and facility tour at its headquarters in Dalton, Ohio. The event attracted approximately 200 attendees from 75 organizations.

Flextur invited industry leaders in new laser cleaning and laser welding technologies to demo their equipment for Flextur customers, and area businesses. In addition, Flextur unveiled several new products, including a new Cobot mounting concept, to complement their cutting-edge Cobot welding solutions. Flextur’s unique yet simple fixtures were also on display and in operation during facility tours. Several new tool board products including their new PPE mobile supply station cart, and 5S event cart. Both standard and custom material handling solutions from Flextur were on display. Attendees had the opportunity to see these innovations firsthand and learn about their applications.

Flextur CEO Daniel Wengerd delivered a heartfelt and inspiring address to the attendees. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, highlighting how everyone in the room needs each other now more than ever to succeed in an agile and changing landscape. He encouraged attendees to engage in conversations and partner to solve their problems together. He challenged the audience to involve Flextur in their problem-solving efforts. He discussed Lean methodology, Flextur’s new technologies, and the importance of having the right product for the right job. As part of the Cobot welding automation open house, he invited attendees to talk to the team if their welding robot is underperforming, idle, or if they need help with integration.

At the event, Greg Price of Advanced Laser Restoration showcased their laser cleaning technology, which removes coatings, paint, corrosion, and grease/oil, serving as an alternative to the EPA-banned methylene chloride. Theo Laser demonstrated their handheld TIG laser welders, offering faster welding speeds and higher weld strength, and invited participants to try the equipment. Steve Boswell of Hirebotics presented their MIG Cobot welding solution, addressing the skilled labor shortage and enhancing worker productivity through easy programming.
